Safety Tips
Practical habits for staying safe across dating, marketplace transactions, and in-person meetups on TheOneApp.
Meet in public the first few times
For first dates, in-person sales, or any new meetup, pick a busy public place. Tell someone you trust where you're going and when you expect to be back.
Keep personal details personal
Don't share your home or work address, financial information, or government IDs until you've built trust with the other person.
Trust your gut
If something feels off — pressure, urgency, sketchy requests, asking for money — it usually is. End the conversation and report the account.
Never send money
TheOneApp will never ask you to wire money, send gift cards, or share crypto wallet keys. Anyone on the platform asking for these is a scammer; block and report.
Use built-in tools
Unmatch, block, and Report are right inside every match and conversation. Reports are reviewed by Trust & Safety within 24 hours and the other person is never told you reported them.
Protect your account
Pick a strong, unique password. Enable two-factor authentication if available. Never share your login or session token, even with someone you trust on the platform.
See something that violates our rules? Contact Support or open the ⋯ menu on any match or message and tap Report.
